Salt Lake City, UT, May 9, 2013 – Community Health Centers, Inc. (CHC), the leading non-profit community health center organization on the Wasatch Front announces it has been reaccredited by the Joint Commission’s Ambulatory Health Care Accreditation Program. In addition, CHC has achieved Primary Care Medical Home (PCMH) certification. CHC is one of only 55 organizations in the U.S. to earn this distinction by the Joint Commission.
CHC first earned accreditation in 2004 has maintained accreditation since then.
The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits and certifies more than 20,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards including providing excellent, safe, and effective care of the highest quality, and in realizing continuous public health care improvement.
